Downton Abbey

I am a little late in joining the Downton Abbey fan club, but since I am living away from home during the week this has freed up a lot of my time, so I've been looking for new TV shows to watch. After getting into Gavin and Stacey about three years late, I am now addicted to Downton Abbey. So after a long days work in the evenings I am catching up on the last two series.

I love the elaborate house, costumes and story lines. 

 I especially like the pinned up hairstyles. I am wondering whether I can: A. pull off the elaborate hairstyles and B. actually manage to do some that fancy with my hair...

Last weekend I took a trip to a vintage pop up shop and discovered some cute retro bargains.

Whenever I have a bad day or need a bit of cheering up my simple home remedy is Judy Garland films. I think it is a mix of the bright candy colours, clothes, Judy Garland's voice and the innocence.

I mean who wouldn't feel better after a good family singsong round the piano?!

A Week In August

Graduation

Finally got around to getting my graduation photos off my camera so I thought I'd share a couple with you.

Me awkwardly working the over sized graduation robe. For my graduation photos we wanted a nice backdrop, without it being a boring studio so we went to the winter gardens in the Duthie park in Aberdeen. 

The parents, the grandparents, the boyfriend and me toasting with a glass of Bolly. Five minutes after this photo was taken we were told off for drinking alcohol in a public place....

My third attempt at throwing my cap with my Dad being able to take a photo in time. 

A better photo of my Reiss Anara dress. I loved it, shame it was hidden by the robe most of the day. I'll just have to find another excuse to wear it again!

Decoration details from the party at my house with family and friends

My Mum surprised with me with a lovely ice cream cake with all three of my favourite flavors: clotted cream, chocolate and vanilla flake. Yum!

Overall it was such a fun day, perfect for celebrating the end of Uni. I will definitely miss Uni and being a student... what a geek.
